BICOASTAL BAILEY: Burberry chief creative officer Christopher Bailey hit New York on Tuesday to toast the newly renovated and enlarged Burberry women’s shop in Saks Fifth Avenue, as well as a new Burberry cosmetics and fragrance counter on the main level — the first of its kind in the U.S. For the occasion, Saks dedicated all of its Fifth Avenue windows to the brand. Zani Gugelmann, Fabiola Beracasa, Annie Churchill and Saks’ own Stephen I. Sadove and Ron Frasch came by to view the new space.
Earlier in the day, Bailey saw a different side of New York when he visited a charter school in Brooklyn that Burberry helps support through the Robin Hood Foundation. “I’ve had the most amazing day — the optimism, the energy and the passion of the teachers and the kids was wonderful to see,” enthused Bailey.

Bailey was on the other side of the country on Wednesday to promote Burberry Body with an event at the company’s Beverly Hills flagship, hosted by the designer and the new fragrance’s face — and body — Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. After the event, which was attended by Kate Bosworth, Serena Williams, Rachel Zoe and Jayma Mays, Bailey headed back to London, where two new Burberry stores are slated to open next year.
