BLOOMINGDALE’S BOUND: Hardy Amies London, a new secondary line from the Savile Row fashion and tailoring house, will launch exclusively in the U.S. at five Bloomingdale’s locations in July. “It feels almost like the clothes that Hardy would have worn himself, while the main collection is more the extreme, glamorous side of his personality,” said Claire Malcolm, Hardy Amies’ creative director. The collection, which showed in a static presentation at 14 Savile Row on Sunday, features a tennis cardigan based on a style that Amies himself wore, a slew of pique and stretch cotton shirts, trenches, chunky sweaters and blue suede bomber jackets — in addition to tailored clothing. Prices are about half those of the mainline collection.
