Blue & Cream Opens Second East Hampton Store

The 1,800-square-foot store at 83 Main Street is the retailer’s second location in the Long Island beach community.

OCEAN BLUE: Jeffrey Goldstein’s Blue & Cream chain continues its march on Long Island’s South Shore. The retailer has opened a 1,800-square-foot store at 83 Main Street in East Hampton, the brand’s second location in the beach community. The original opened at 60 The Circle in 2004. Blue & Cream last summer unveiled an accessories-focused store in Westhampton. Goldstein in 2007 opened his only city store to date, a Blue & Cream unit on East First Street and the corner of the Bowery in Manhattan.

The new East Hampton store will have more of a department-store approach, Goldstein said, with a Make Your Own Havaianas shop-in-shop, a Malin + Goetz installation and a corner reserved for new bathing suit lines. Rag & Bone, Charlotte Ronson, Shoshanna Lonstein and Elizabeth and James are some of the other resources.

Goldstein touted 3×1, the new denim collection and bespoke denim from Scott Morrison, the man behind Paper Denim & Cloth and Earnest Sewn, as well as Russell Simmons’ yoga-inspired basics line, Tantris.

Blue & Cream units do in excess of $1,000 in sales per square foot, said Goldstein. The company cuts and sews its garments on West 39th Street, he said.
