Boxhop Enhances International E-commerce

International consumers from 74 countries can become a member.

BOXHOP ENHANCES INTERNATIONAL E-COMMERCE: Borderfree is enhancing international e-commerce options for overseas consumers through a new program called BoxHop.

BoxHop is a parcel forwarding service in which international consumers from 74 countries can become a BoxHop member and in turn create a unique U.S. shipping address connected with their membership. That enables them to buy directly from American stores, have the orders delivered to BoxHop, and then schedule final delivery to their destination of choice. The U.S address created when consumers become members identifies each account holder.

According to Borderfree, only a small percentage of American retailers actually ship internationally. Membership options at BoxHop allow the orders, once delivered to the BoxHop account address, to be repackaged into one box for final shipment overseas to reduce shipping costs. BoxHop also prepares the required customs paperwork.

BoxHop also emails its members with deal alerts and curated product guides to help them access goods they can’t get at home.
