WINTER PARTY: Breguet started what is sure to become a  go-to for brands at Bal Harbour Shops by hosting its grand opening at the new St. Regis across the street. Following a store cocktail, where clients perused exclusives like the Marine Royale dive watch with chocolate dial and natural rubber band and Reign of Naples styles in various golds and jewels, a group of 50 made its way to a poolside reception among the hotel’s mammoth, multi-tiered terraces.

Though the smallest U.S. store, Bal Harbour got a big party unlike other recent expansions such as Las Vegas. Being a top three market Stateside and thriving regional wholesale business at accounts like Tourneau in Bal Harbour and King Jewelers in Aventura were just the beginning.

Before asking his public relations rep if it’s okay to divulge the real reason, the company’s North American president Michael Nelson admitted, “That it’s Miami in winter played a huge part.”
