WINNING WAYS: Marques’Almeida, 1205, Ashley Williams and Ryan Lo are among the London Fashion Week designers to scoop the latest round of NewGen sponsorship to stage catwalk shows.

 

The British Fashion Council said Monday that a total of 10 designers will receive sponsorship to showcase their fall-winter 2015 collections at London Fashion Week, which runs Feb. 20-24. NewGen is sponsored by Topshop.

 

Claire Barrow, Danielle Romeril, Faustine Steinmetz and Molly Goddard have all secured support to stage presentations, while Marta Jakubowski and Sadie Williams have won exhibition sponsorship.

 

All NewGen designers will be given a dedicated showroom for four hours after their show or presentation, giving buyers the opportunity to make sales appointments.

 

NewGen is the BFC’s longstanding scheme to support emerging talent, and its aim is to build global, high-end fashion brands for the future. It was founded in 1993, and past recipients have included Christopher Kane, Jonathan Saunders, Mary Katrantzou and Simone Rocha.
