It’s only fitting that the theme for Julianne Moore’s second advertising campaign for Bulgari was: “More is more.” The actress reunited with photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for the autumn-winter campaign shoot, which took place in the Beverly Hills mansion of the late designer Tony Duquette, whose maximalism was legendary. “He used things that were kind of very precious and things that were basically junk and made everything look so beautiful,” Moore enthused at Bulgari’s accessories presentation on the sidelines of Milan Fashion Week.
“It’s very intricate and very, very personal and rich in color and texture, so it was really exciting to get to shoot in the house.” Moore, whose chic black cocktail dress set off a yellow gold, mother of pearl and diamond bracelet, was enjoying her role as a fashion icon in between typically challenging film parts. At the Berlin Film Festival last week, she presented “The Kids Are All Right,” in which she plays a lesbian mom. “It’s me and Annette Bening, and our two children who decide to find their sperm donor father,” she explained. And in director Atom Egoyan’s “Chloe,” due for release this month, she stars as a suspicious wife who hires a young woman to seduce her husband.
