Bulgari to Open in Exclusive French Ski Resort

The Roman jeweler is opening a 750-square-foot store in Courchevel 1850.

CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS: Bulgari is hitting the slopes. On Dec. 12, the Roman jeweler is opening a 750-square-foot store in the exclusive French ski resort of Courchevel 1850, which has been described as the Saint-Tropez of winter sports thanks to a visitor list that stretches from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to Russian magnate Roman Abramovich. The boutique will sport an elegant and sober design, with a window display featuring white porcelain sculptures inspired by a woman’s bust, conceived by Italian designer Marco Piva. To celebrate the opening, Bulgari is putting on sale a one-of-a-kind gray gold Serpenti necklace studded with more than 74 carats of diamonds. The store will offer a selection of other Serpenti creations alongside the B.zero1 jewelry line, in addition to Serpenti women’s watches and the new Octo watch for men, and a selection of evening bags. Bulgari already has two standalone stores in Paris, one in Cannes and one in Monte Carlo.
