CALL HIM MR. AMBASSADOR: Giorgio Armani has been named special ambassador of Expo Milano 2015. On April 30, the Milanese fashion designer and entrepreneur will fete the opening of the Universal Exhibition with a special event. A runway show will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Giorgio Armani company, which the same night also will inaugurate its new Armani/Silos. This exhibition space will be located in a former Nestlé factory, facing the fashion company’s headquarters on Milan’s Via Bergognone.
Armani, who financed the works for the new space, will install a permanent exhibition of his creations and drawings. In addition, Armani/Silos, which will be included in Milan’s museum network, will host events and initiatives linked with fashion and design with a focus on the support of young talents.
