CAMUTO’S YEARBOOK: Virtually everything one ever wanted to know about Vince Camuto can be found in “Life of Style,” a new coffee-table book written by Camuto himself, which will be released by Assouline on Sept. 2. The 300-page book, which sells for $250, contains 270 photographs. Among them are photos of the three homes that have become his passion: Chateau Ridge, a French-style chateau in Greenwich, Conn., which is his primary residence; Villa Maria, an historic Jazz-Age manor on Mecox Bay in Water Mills, N.Y., and Wooldon Manor, originally an English Tudor-style pool house on the beach in Southampton, N.Y. Each of the homes is decorated with works of art and antiques collected by Camuto and his wife, Louise.
Camuto traces his career from the early days at I. Magnin to becoming founder and creative director of Nine West to establishing The Camuto Group in 2001, which offers products in 31 categories under more than 10 brands, including Vince Camuto and VC Signature. The book has a foreword by Tommy Hilfiger, who has known Camuto for 25 years, and is available in select Vince Camuto stores, VinceCamuto.com, Assouline stores and Assouline.com.
