TAKING IT LITERALLY: Jean-Charles de Castelbajac is feeling bookish. In celebration of the 110th anniversary of Le Petit Larousse, the artsy fashion designer has given the book’s pages a new look.

“This is the first book that made me dream, a box full of mystery which I had with me when I was a young boy in boarding school,” de Castelbajac said of the iconic dictionary-cum-encyclopedia, found in two out of three households in France.

Kept in the designer’s signature colors red, blue and yellow, the updated version, available in stores from this week, features cartoon-like drawings boasting Castelbajac’s dynamic brush-strokes.
