FIERCE CHLOË: Not even downtown Manhattan poster girl Chloë Sevigny is immune to the perils of Financial District traffic and ongoing construction. “I got dropped off at the wrong location and had to walk here,” she said. The actress was at the resort presentation by Kenzo. “I was like, ‘I don’t know where I’m going.’ It’s a labyrinth down here,” Sevigny continued.
Upon arriving, she made a beeline to designers Humberto Leon and Carol Lim. She had already spent the afternoon with the duo working on their next collaboration for their store, Opening Ceremony. “We were going over knitwear, which is so difficult,” she said. “Luckily, I have helping hands. They are really good at it.” Sevigny kept mum on details of the new collection, which is out next spring, though briefly teased at some accessories offerings. “Girls love my shoes,” she said. “Girls can feel really fierce, flat or high heel. And you can walk in them.”
Kenzo’s presentation-turned-cocktail party also drew out Dakota Fanning, China Chow and Leigh Lezark. Fanning, clad in a Mod shift dress and black platforms, considered the perils of summer wardrobes. “I’m going to be in the city, so anything that doesn’t stick to my body,” she said.
