CEO SEARCH: British online fashion retailer is planning to ramp up its global expansion by searching for a new chief executive officer. “I really want to bring in an expert who has that experience of taking a company and making it global,” said Sarah Curran, the current ceo and founder. Curran would remain on board and work alongside the new ceo, but plans to focus on the brand’s profile, creative direction and the site experience, which she describes as its “emotional touch points.”

The company has recently seen triple-digit growth in Australia and the Middle East, after investing in p.r. and marketing in those territories. In the next year, the retailer plans to introduce multicurrency and multilingual sites for different territories, which will recognize where the customer is located. The company also plans to develop its sites for mobile devices, such as iPads and smartphones. “I think experience in e-commerce is key, and it’s important to have an expert within that field,” said Curran of the type of executive she’s hoping to recruit. Curran doesn’t have a set timescale for appointing the ceo. Maven Ventures is conducting the search.
