IN THE COSMOS: “So You Wanna Work in Fashion?” is just one of the panels set for Saturday’s CFDA/Cosmopolitan career summit at the Hearst Tower. About 200 students each shelled out $35 for a ticket to the Lancome-presented all-day event, which will be a first for the magazine. Cynthia Rowley, Isaac Mizrahi, “Orange is the New Black” costume designer Jenn Rogien and IMG’s Ivan Bart will dish about their own experiences and offer acareer advice. Attendees will no doubt take to Bart, who will announce that IMG has new entry-level positions and will be accepting resumes from the crowd. Guests will have the chance to win lunch with the CFDA’s Steven Kolb, by writing why they are most deserving — in 140 characters or less.
This weekend’s gathering is expected to be the first of many career summits Cosmo will host. Editor-in-chief Joanna Coles is working her way up to the publication’s first conference that will debut next fall through a partnership with William Morris Endeavor. That is tentatively being called Cosmo Live.
