The Council for Fashion Designers of America/ Vogue Fashion Fund and Tiffany & Co. awarded jewelry designers Monique Péan and Eddie Borgo Tiffany & Co. grants today.
The designers were presented with checks at the Tiffany salon at Tiffany’s Fifth Avenue flagship by committee members Tiffany chairman and chief executive officer Michael Kowalski, Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour, Vogue senior market editor Meredith Melling Burke and CFDA ceo Steven Kolb.
Péan received $150,000 and Borgo received $100,000.
The grants are part of a three-year partnership between the CVFF and Tiffany, which donated a $1 million gift.
All jewelry designers who had participated in the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund since its inception in 2004 were eligible to apply for the grant.
This year, nine applicants submitted statements on their brand’s creative vision and current collection, as well as a portfolio and financial information, including intended use for the grant.
