OH BOY: Having wrapped their mineral-themed show earlier on in the day, the Chanel crew on Wednesday night reconvened after hours at its new store on Avenue Montaigne. Three-year-old Hudson Kroenig was still carrying the quilted Chanel purse he had worn in the show. “It’s called the Boy, Hudson has all his toys in it,” said his model father, Brad, showing tiny cars, plastic cell phones and the like inside.
The party rolled on to the Maison Blanche restaurant for a private concert by British art-rock band Django Django. Poppy Delevingne and Amanda Harlech danced together in their long Chanel couture gowns. “They’re amazing, they remind me of The Shins,” said model Irina Lazareanu, letting out a whoop.
Astrid Bergès-Frisbey said that the store opening was particularly exciting for her because her mother works there. “She used to work at the Avenue Montaigne store and then moved away, and now, 15 years later she is working at the new store, in the ready-to-wear department,” said the French actress. Studying the concert from the site’s upper level, Karl Lagerfeld said his favorite track on the band’s album was « Default. » “It’s number three on their CD,” he said.
