The space, on the first floor of Galeries Lafayette in Paris, will carry its key timepiece collections.

The Chanel store in Galeries Lafayette

COCO TIME: Chanel has opened its first dedicated watch store in Europe on the first floor of Paris department store Galeries Lafayette.

The 270-square-foot space, decked out in the brand’s signature black, beige and gold, will carry the historic Première and J12 lines in addition to the new Mademoiselle Privé collection, based on symbols beloved by house founder Gabrielle Chanel — such as the camellia flower, comets and lacquered screens.

Chanel unveiled its first specialized watch stores in Asia in 2009, and now has dedicated boutiques for timepieces in Macao, Taipei, Singapore, Peking and Hong Kong.
