COCO TIME: Chanel has opened its first temporary store dedicated to watches. It is located at 19 Rue Cambon, on the corner of Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré, and showcases its Première line.

The 215-square-foot unit, decked out in black and white, carries the whole range of its historic women’s timepiece, whose octagonal shape was inspired by the Place Vendôme, a stone’s throw away.

The assortment includes the recently re-launched version of the Pièce, with a choice of white mother-of-pearl or black lacquer for the dial, and optional diamond paving on the case.

Chanel purchased the building at 19 Rue Cambon to grow its historic boutique at No. 31. It already hosts two temporary boutiques in its environs: One is devoted to accessories and shoes, while the other, abutting the Rue Duphot, houses makeup and perfumes.

All temporary units are due to remain open until about the end of the year.
