Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Host a Dinner

The fund-raising dinner at St. James’ Palace in London on Tuesday night benefited the National Memorial Arboretum Appeal.

CHARITY CIRCUIT: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made their second joint appearance this month on Thursday night, when they hosted a fund-raising dinner in aid of the National Memorial Arboretum Appeal at St. James’ Palace in London.

Kate wore a Jenny Packham one-shouldered, silver chiffon satin gown — a bespoke creation by the designer — for the occasion, while William wore a black-tie suit. It may be one of their last joint appearances for a while: Earlier on Thursday, Britain’s Ministry of Defence said William will be posted to the Falkland Islands for six weeks in February and March, as part of his role as Royal Air Force search and rescue pilot. Kate will remain in London during William’s tour.
