CHARITABLE POWER LUNCHERS: Fashion will be one of four pillars in Charitybuzz’s Entrepreneurs’ Auction, which goes live Monday in partnership with Global Entrepreneurship Week. Bidders will be vying for a meeting or lunch with such insiders as Tommy Hilfiger, Russell Simmons, Warby Parker’s Neil Blumenthal, Tamara Mellon and Alexandra Wilkis Wilson. Each has designated a charity of his or her choice that will be the true beneficiary, gaining 80 percent of the net proceeds.

Spanx’s Sara Blakely, Nike’s Tinker Hatfield, Laura Geller and Lauren Santo Domingo are also on board with the initiative. Foursquare founder Dennis Crowley, Ted Turner, Condoleezza Rice and Colin Cowie are among the insiders from three other sectors — investors, technology and media — who have also offered their services. Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has agreed to take his highest bidder out for a round of golf. Charitybuzz’s Entrepreneurs’ Auction will run through December 2.

This isn’t the first time that Charitybuzz has hosted a fashion event. After Hurricane Sandy struck in 2011, Vogue and the CFDA teamed up with the site for an auction that raised $1.2 million in a matter of weeks for hurricane relief efforts led by then-Mayor Bloomberg.

Charitybuzz chief executive officer Coppy Holzman said of the new initiative,”We have found the fashion community in particular to be incredibly philanthropic. Some of the biggest fashion influencers are often auctioning amazing experiences on Charitybuzz and since our bidding community loves fashion so much, we have been able to raise millions for charity through our fashion-related auctions alone.”
