CHOO’S NEW DIGS: Jimmy Choo’s very first U.S. store has just gotten a spruce up. Located at 51st Street and Fifth Avenue in New York City, the updated boutique boasts an expanded selection of women’s shoes, handbags, small leather goods and accessories, such as belts, sunglasses and fragrance.

“The renovation of our 51st Street store is consistent with our global strategy to elevate our brand. This is a special location for Jimmy Choo as it was the first in America and originally became famous during the ‘Sex and the City’ era,” chief executive officer Joshua Schulman told WWD. “While we have other locations in New York on Madison and Bleecker, we’ve always had a particularly loyal clientele here and, now, we have a true jewel-box environment that lives up to its historic stature for our brand.”

The three-level store is organized as a series of intimate salons with the brand’s signature neutral color palette — comprised of ivory, pale rose, lilac and sand — as well as crystal chandeliers, frosted glass walls, Lucite tables and tufted seating.
