PINING FOR A LOOK: If guests were tripping over each other at the Armani Hotel’s Bamboo Bar on Monday night, it wasn’t the Champagne — rather, they were hoping to catch a glimpse of blue-eyed Armani Code face Chris Pine, who flew in from California especially for the party and the Giorgio Armani show on Tuesday.
Noting this was the first time he’d ever seen Milan beyond its Centrale train station, the American actor said staying at Giorgio Armani’s “seamlessly” designed hotel was key to overcoming jetlag. He also confessed to missing the U.S.-Portugal World Cup match Sunday night due to his travels. “I actually landed and I got into the lounge in JFK an hour after [the gamed ended],” he said. “It was a bummer.”
Once his European travels are over, Pine said he would head first to New York, and then back to Sonoma, California, which he “kind of fell in love with.”
“Geographically and topographically, it’s a lot like Tuscany, “ he said, “It’s got rolling hills and vineyards, some culture — it’s basically centered on wine and food, which are two of my favorite things on planet earth, and it’s quiet — it’s just magic.”
