RED HOT: Christian Louboutin is rolling out the red carpet. Some 860 square feet of it are adorning the Parisian footwear designer’s new unit at Le Bon Marché – a wink to the brand’s signature red soles.

Set under a domed cage in the center of the Left Bank department store’s shoe section, the new space dedicated to women harkens back to a 19th-century winter garden, while also boasting mineral and gemstone cubes made of quartz and amazonites in lieu of shelves.

The shop stocks Louboutin classics such as Pigalle and SoKate, as well as new styles from the designer’s Hawaii-inspired spring collection including the Houlahot and the flower-printed Pigalle Follies Hawaii Kawaii stilettos, accompanied by a small selection of the brand’s handbags.

This is the designer’s eighth Parisian unit. Christian Louboutin, founded in 1992, operates about 100 shops around the globe.
