SHOPPING FOR A CAUSE: Bibhu Mohapatra and Oscar de la Renta Furs are among the 13 labels that have linked up to support the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center through a two-day shopping event.

Organized by the Louisville, Ky.-based Harrison Calvert Boutiques, the sale will be held December 11 and 12 at Blue Jean Studio at 149 West 24th Street. The aforementioned designer brands, as well as Christian Siriano, Mimi Plange, Georges Chakra and Zang Toi will have staffers or the company’s designers make personal appearances. Each label will be showcasing their spring 2016 collections for shoppers to pre-order, as well as fall designs from their current collections.

Sponsored by Little Black Dress Wines and Cocktail Caviar, the event’s decor has been overseen by New York-based event planner Julia Rose. With 20 percent of all sales going towards to MSKCC, the shopping event is expected to attract nearly 1,500 people, according to Calvert. As the world’s oldest and largest private organization for the research of more than 400 types of cancer, the center employs more than 1,300 and treats 137,000-plus patients annually.
