Dolce, Gabbana Host Dinner for Bruno Mars

CIRCLING MARS: Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce hosted a party in honor of singer Bruno Mars on Monday night at their Gold restaurant. “We started dressing him last year. Watching his videos, we decided to get in touch with him and he immediately accepted to wear some pieces from our collections,” Gabbana said. “We love his energy. Looking at him, we see a rock ’n’ roll character, he reminds us of Elvis Presley.”

The Hawaiian artist, wearing a three-piece gray Dolce & Gabbana suit and a hat in the same color, joined the duo right after his concert in Milan, the only Italian city scheduled on his European tour.

Once in the restaurant, Mars, who turned 26 on Sunday, was surprised with a whipped cream and strawberries birthday cake decorated with sparkles. What he thought of the party isn’t known since his manager vetoed any approach to Mars, who was singing and dancing with the members of his band along with the designers.
