FUR-FOOTED FRIENDS: The Hello Kitty and Playboy bunny camps collided Friday night in unexpected ways at Paris’ Crazy Horse cabaret, where Colette celebrated the creatures’ big birthdays.
The cuddly cat turns 40 and the sexy rabbit, 60, this year, so to mark the occasions the Paris concept store produced a series of limited-edition products — on sale starting today.
Sarah Andelman, creative director and purchasing manager at Colette, sported a faux tattoo on her arm with both creatures, and her fingernails were spangled with them, as well.
“I have to get one of these,” exclaimed Atlanta Taylor de Cadenet, in a candy-pink fur coat, when told about the tattoo. “You know, I’ve been a Hello Kitty fan since I was 14. Do they have a Playboy T-shirt, too?”
Cadenet said she just shot an underwear campaign for Tezenis. “Girls gone wild,” she joked, of the experience. “But it was shot by my mom, so it was great.”
Victoire de Taillac, wearing the blue handout headband with Kitty’s bow, revealed that she and her husband, Ramdane Touhami, will open a fragrance shop at the end of March in Paris. Called Buly — named after the 19th-century perfume brand — it is to be located at 6 Rue Bonaparte in the city’s 6th arrondissement.
The evening’s pièce de résistance were two Crazy Horse mini shows. The dancers marched dressed as Queen’s Guards and pole danced, among other titillating numbers, while Kitty herself made some appearances throughout.
“Did you know they had to censor the show for Kitty?” quizzed Julien David, fresh from his fashion show at the Palais de Tokyo, earlier in the day. “Usually that act is topless.”
Others in attendance included Delfina Delettrez, Guillaume Henry and Eric Chevalier.
