Giorgio Armani to Show Colombian Artist

Brand's Madison Avenue boutique will turn part museo with the installation of a 140-piece exhibit titled “El Mercado” by Marta Luz Gutiérrez.

COLOMBIA COLLEZIONI: Giorgio Armani’s Madison Avenue boutique will turn part museo this week with the installation of a 26-foot-long, 140-piece exhibit titled “El Mercado” by Colombian artist Marta Luz Gutiérrez. Evelyn Tompkins Projects planned to fete the opening with a cocktail party and private viewing at the boutique on Monday night.

Gutiérrez has shown her work at the Corcoran Gallery of Art, the Consulado de Colombia and the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Washington, D.C., and the Museo de Arte de Pereira in Medellín, Colombia. The exhibition will be open until the end of the week at the Armani boutique.
