WHO CARES ABOUT THE WEATHER?: Snow? What snow? As the temperature hovered around freezing, several showgoers hit the shows Tuesday dressed as if it were an afternoon in May.

On assignment for an Israeli TV show, freelance reporter Danna Gul didn’t think twice about wearing 5-inch Topshop stilettos with a Lia Kes minidress. “I didn’t have any reservations. You know what? It’s New York Fashion Week. You’re going to ruin a pair of shoes, but you only live once.”

Helen Schifter sailed into Vera Wang’s show sporting 4-inch Manolo Blahnik ankle boots, modified with adhesives stuck on the soles of her shoes. “As long as you have them on the bottom of your Manolos, you are good to go,” she said.

The Washington Post’s Ashley Parker headed off to work in a micromini Alice & Olivia jumper and high-heeled Nanette Lepore ankle boots. “I wanted to wear shorts and thought this was a good compromise,” Parker said. “I would never wear rain boots to fashion week.”

Of course, when you’re a celebrity being photographed in the front row, the stakes are even higher. Which may explain Kirsten Dunst’s bare-legged look at Rodarte. “Well, I’m lucky enough to have a car,” said the actress with a smile. “Just got in and out.”
