RED HOT DOLLARS: Shoppers at Cynthia Rowley’s new Upper East Side store can also get a sugar fixes from her new candy label CuRious. While $12 brickle and $14 chocolate bunnies are two of the early favorites at the 43 East 78th address, there is also edible tableware. In a new Red Bucket Films-produced short, models Hailey Gates and Hannah Gross “dig into” the knives, plates and teacups — even crunching on what looks like a glass vase in a bistro setting. Rowley, as well as her husband Bill Powers, and Andy Spade are amidst the diners in the flick.
Red Bucket Films is cooking up another fashion-related project. Brothers Josh and Ben Safdie, who co-founded the company while at Boston University with Alex Kalman, are shooting “Uncut Gems” about their father’s days in Manhattan’s Diamond District. Creative flair seems to be a Safdie family trait — their great-uncle is the architect Moshe Safdie, best known for Habitat 67.
