NEW LINE: To coincide with the opening of Milan Design Week, Italian jewelry firm Damiani presented a limited edition collection celebrating the company’s 90th anniversary. The luxury capsule includes 10 jewelry pieces, each of them paying homage to a specific decade. For example, the Charleston collier, which shows a cascade of diamonds creating the shape of a feather, is dedicated to the Twenties, while Legend, a pink gold semi-rigid bracelet decorated with pave diamonds, reproduces a piece designed by the company’s founder Enrico Grassi Damiani in the Forties.
“During World War II, he couldn’t use precious materials, so he crafted it from iron,” said Damiani vice president and chief designer Silvia Damiani. “Producing it now, it’s a way to pay homage to his creativity.”
The capsule also includes pieces inspired by more recent collections, such as D.Side, an oval white gold bracelet with diamonds, celebrating the namesake line co-designed by Damiani and Brad Pitt in the early 2000, and the Damianissima pendent showing one face in white diamonds and the other in black diamonds.
Only nine pieces are available of each model. Prices range from 15,000 euros, or $21,000 at current exchange rate, to 185,000 euros, or $254,186.
