DEE OCLEPPO OPENS POP-UP: Dee Ocleppo is breaking into the retail scene for New York Fashion Week. The handbag designer has teamed with Editorialist and Town & Country to launch a pop-up shop at Beautique. The space, a restaurant located halfway between the Plaza Hotel and Bergdorf Goodman in Midtown West, will be converted to reflect Ocleppo’s Mustique-inspired spring collection with interior accents such as palm-leaf prints and grasscloth rugs. While Ocleppo’s collection is currently sold at Saks Fifth Avenue, Hudson’s Bay, Galeries Lafayette and Harrods, the pop-up will mark the designer’s first independent retail foray. The shop will be open from Friday to Feb. 20 and sell Ocleppo’s spring collection, with prices ranging from $995 to $3595. Ocleppo, along with Editoralist founders Kate Davidson and Stefania Allen and Town & Country editor in chief Jay Fielden will hold a private cocktail to celebrate the partnership on Tuesday.
