CARTOON CAUSE: Twenty-three creative types were tapped from the fashion, visual and fine arts, literature and cuisine realms to create pieces based on “bad” or “good” Walt Disney characters remembered from their childhoods.

Paul Smith, Chantal Thomass, Christian Louboutin, Christian Lacroix and Véronique Leroy were among those who conceived works that will be auctioned off by Tajan on June 12 at the Espace Commines in Paris. They will be on display between June 10 and 12, prior to the sale.

Proceeds from the “Bad for Good” auction will go to La Source, an association created by painter Gérard Garouste in 1991 to help young people facing social problems by developing their artistic creativity.
