Diane von Furstenberg to Stage Tokyo Show

The American designer will make an appearance at Japan Fashion Week next month.

GUEST OF HONOR: Diane von Furstenberg is going to make her way to Tokyo next month to take part in the city’s fashion week. Japan Fashion Week organizers said the designer, who is currently celebrating the 40th anniversary of her iconic wrap dress, will stage a show recapping her fall collection on March 20. The event falls in the middle of the Tokyo shows running March 17 to 22.

JFW hasn’t managed to snag a guest designer every season but past editions of the shows have featured the likes of Angela Missoni, Paul Smith, Jill Stuart and Vivienne Tam.

Japan Fashion Week organizers also said Thursday that they have added another official sponsor to the week. This season, Conair Japan will join other sponsors including Mercedes-Benz, Maybelline New York and DHL.
