GLAM RUSH: It was another busy night at the Sunset Tower Hotel on Tuesday when Lauren Remington Platt and Dita Von Teese celebrated the Los Angeles launch of Remington Platt’s beauty-on-demand service Vénsette (Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston were in another town house celebrating Theroux’s Details cover). The two women met at an event in San Francisco and bonded over their love of hair and makeup. “It’s a fantastic service,” said Von Teese, who actually always does her own hair and makeup. “A great way to learn new tips and tricks is from the pros and what better way to do that than in the privacy of your own home? You can be in your robe and have a cocktail or snack they way we do it for red carpet events,” she said.
For her part, Remington Platt said she’s always been inspired by Von Teese’s look. “She really embodies the Vénsette woman because she’s a professional and she represents elegant glamour with her 1920s curl-set and red lip that are some of our best sellers. As a co-host, she epitomizes the West Coast and is also such a beauty icon.” Among the other beauty lovers who turned out were Shenae Grimes, Rachel Roy, Louise Roe, Liz Goldwyn, Byrdie Bell, Tyler Ellis and George Kotsiopoulos.
