BEAUTY BASH: What does three years equate to in social media time? For digitally driven makeup brand Dose of Colors, it’s excess of 60 products, nearly 1.7 million followers on Instagram and countless swatches by beauty influencers. On Saturday evening, the brand marked those crystal anniversary milestones with a party at its Burbank, Calif., headquarters, which was decked out for the occasion with an elaborate ice sculpture, bar and selfie setup.
“Within three years, we reached our goals and more,” said Dose of Colors founder and makeup artist Anna Petrosian. “I always wanted to have a brand to create my own colors, but I never thought it would be as big as it is.” Dose of Colors’ best sellers are matte liquid lipsticks that have been embraced by YouTubers such as Dose of Colors partygoers Desi Perkins, Amanda Ensing and Angel Merino, aka Mac_Daddyy. Already available in 16 shades, Petrosian hinted the range of matte liquid lipsticks would be expanded further this year. “There are a lot of fun launches coming up. Some of them are going to be part of the collection and some of them are going to be limited editions. Eventually, I want to have a whole line in every category,” she said. Apparently, there will be a ton to celebrate in another three years.
