HAPPY HOLIDAYS: Even Dover Street Market, that bastion of avant-garde fashion, isn’t immune to the charms of Disney’s hit animated film “Frozen.” Come Wednesday, Rei Kawakubo’s London emporium will unveil its holiday windows, which will showcase a collaboration between the designer’s Commes des Garçons label and “Frozen.” The windows will spotlight pieces designed by Kawakubo featuring images of characters from the film, including men’s and women’s shirts, pajamas, silk scarves and cushions. Adrian Joffe, chief executive officer of Comme des Garçons and Dover Street Market, said that the collaboration happened “organically — Disney Japan approached us and we jumped at the chance,” he said.

The “Frozen” collaboration is also at Dover Street Market in Ginza, Tokyo while the products and an installation will launch at Dover Street Market in New York.

And the holiday season will also see Miu Miu open its first space in Dover Street Market in London, following Prada’s launch in Dover Street Market New York. The space, located on the store’s first floor near to Azzedine Alaïa and Comme des Garçons, will carry the resort 2015 collection, with spring launching in January. The space’s design will take its cues from Miu Miu’s resort collection, done out with colorful, geometric carpets to evoke the designs’ vivid prints. Miu Miu spaces will also launch at Dover Street Market in Ginza in mid-December, and will launch at Dover Street Market in New York later in spring.
