Tiffany & Co. has tapped Japanese architect Kengo Kuma to redesign its Tokyo flagship. The three-story store is slated to be finished in November and the design is mean to evoke jewelry. The facade will be composed of honeycomb glass panels in an ode to diamonds. Kuma said the design “echoes Tiffany’s visual identity.” Kuma is the first Japanese architect that Tiffany has commissioned.
