SHOP TALK: “This is a T-shirt we made for the World Cup, though I’m not sure the French will be very interested in buying those anymore,” laughed Edun co-founder Ali Hewson who feted the opening of the brand’s pop-up store in Merci on Thursday night.

Along with the brand’s pre-fall collection, on show were jewelry pieces designed by Edun creative director Sharon Wauchob in collaboration with independent charity Made Africa, as well a range of Bidii School Project T-shirts bearing doodles by pupils attending the school.

All proceeds from the sale of the shirts will go to the Kenya school. Nearby on the trendy Rue Charlot, accessories designer Florian Denicourt held a cocktail party for the opening of his first store. His brand is popular with local musicians, as the attendance of Gregory Kowalski and Thomas Pirot of French rock group Nelson attested.
