Edward Enninful and Naomi Campbell

ENNINFUL’S ACCOLADE: Edward Enninful, the fashion and style director of W Magazine, was given an honor by Princess Anne for his contribution to the fashion industry on Thursday.

“Today is one of the most special days of my life,” said Enninful. “It is wonderful to be honored by my country while surrounded by my family and closest friends.”

The stylist received an OBE, or Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, for his services to diversify the fashion industry as part of the Queen’s annual Birthday Honors List, issued earlier this year. He wore a bespoke Alexander McQueen suit with a Turnbull & Asser shirt to the ceremony.

Enninful began in the industry as a model before taking up a fashion director role at i-D magazine. He has worked at Italian and American Vogue before taking on a position at W. He received the Isabella Blow award for fashion creator at 2014’s British Fashion Awards. The award — named after the late British editor — commemorates a stylist, makeup artist, photographer, art director or producer in the fashion industry.

Enninful will host a dinner at the Mark’s Club in London’s Mayfair this evening to celebrate receiving an Order of the British Empire.
