WHAT’S UP DOC? Mark Mendelson, president and chief executive officer of Ellen Tracy, will deliver the keynote address at LIM College’s 74th annual commencement exercises on Thursday, May 31 at 4:30 p.m. The graduation takes place at Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center in New York.

Mendelson will also receive LIM College’s Distinguished Achievement Award at the ceremony, as well as an honorary Doctor of Commercial Science degree in recognition of his accomplishments.

“We are very much looking forward to honoring Mark Mendelson and having him address our graduates at this year’s Commencement,” said LIM College President Elizabeth S. Marcuse. “As a leader in the business of fashion, Mark is an outstanding role model for our students.”

Mendelson has been actively involved in LIM’s Fashion Industry Advisory Board since 2000. Over the years, he has hired LIM College interns and graduates, participated in panel discussions and served as a guest lecturer.

Mendelson has had a diversified career on both the wholesale and retail sides. Prior to joining Ellen Tracy in 2008, Mendelson was with Ann Taylor, where he headed their New Concept division.
