STYLE GAME: Ermanno Scervino is to outfit Italy’s national soccer team, whose players previously wore Dolce & Gabbana. The new partnership between the Florence-based fashion brand and the club will debut at the UEFA European Football Championship in France next year and will continue with the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Details about the new off-field uniforms are still under wraps.
“The National team is the symbol of Italian character all over the world and we are honored to have been chosen, because we have always supported the authentic Made in Italy,” said Toni Scervino, chief executive officer of Ermanno Scervino. “It’s a challenge that we have accepted with great enthusiasm.”
Ermanno Scervino is no stranger to the athletic world. Previously, the brand created the formal uniforms for Russia’s national team for the Turin 2006 Olympic Winter Games, as well as for the Azerbaijan national team for the London 2012 Olympic games and Baku 2015 European Games.
