Executive Moves at Caruso Affiliated

The Los Angeles shopping center owner and developer has made two executive changes in the wake of former chief operating officer Paul Kurzawa’s departure.

CARUSO CHANGES: Upon former chief operating officer Paul Kurzawa’s departure to become global head of retail development and entertainment for DreamWorks Animation, Los Angeles shopping center owner and developer Caruso Affiliated has made two executive changes. Jackie Levy, who joined Caruso in 2006 and has been senior vice president of operations at the company since 2010, has been named executive vice president of operations. He will handle Kurzawa’s responsibilities, although he will not assume the chief operating officer title. Levy will manage Caruso’s retail and residential properties, including The Grove and The Americana at Brand, spanning more than 2 million square feet and totaling over $2 billion in asset value.

“We look forward to working with Jackie in his new role and are confident that his leadership will be an integral part of our continued growth and success,” said Rick Caruso, founder and chief executive officer of Caruso. Caruso has also appointed Chris Brandon to the post of vice president of leasing. Prior to joining Caruso, Brandon held leasing positions at Westfield and CIM Group. “Chris Brandon is a seasoned leasing strategist with a proven track record. He will play a key role in leading our portfolio-wide leasing efforts,” said Caruso.
