ALL IN A DAY’S WORK: After his couture show on Wednesday in Paris, Elie Saab welcomed an eclectic crowd to toast his new boutique on Avenue George V. Among them were Clotilde Courau, Chantal Thomass, Françis Kurkdjian, Caroline Vreeland, Carlos Ghosn and former “CSI” star Gary Dourdan.
It turns out Dourdan’s no stranger to fashion: his mother is a designer and his sister also works in the industry. “I’m always around clothes,” he said.
In fact, he admits to being a bit of a multi-tasker. “I act, I sing, I play music, I wash windows, I clean floors…” he confided. At the moment, his projects revolve around making music, which was his main reason for being in town. “It’s acid jazz, funk and soul, a mélange of good American music,” he said of his style.
Kurkdjian, meanwhile, was feeling the effects of his ever-busy schedule.
“I’m so tired I can’t talk,” he said. “The problem is, I don’t know how to listen to my body when it tells me to slow down. That comes from my training as a ballet dancer.”
