FASHION FLOOD: The polar vortex is not getting the best of Alejandro Ingelmo. Early last week, the designer’s boutique and offices flooded after the SoHo building’s pipes froze and burst. Fortunately, Ingelmo’s first-floor office, where samples for the upcoming fall collection were kept, was spared from the damage. Ingelmo, however, had planned to hold next Sunday’s presentation in the store, which is slated to remain closed for a minimum of two to three months for repairs.
Upon hearing the news, artist Mark Fox jumped to the rescue. Fox, whose show “MFKPMQ” is currently on view at the Robert Miller Gallery, offered Ingelmo the Chelsea space as a new location for the presentation, which will now be held on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. After all, the show must go on.
