FASHION FRIENDS FOREVER: Having built pop stars and toppled politicians, social media now gets credit for creating fashion collections. Chase Cohl, the bicoastal designer behind accessories line Littledoe, recently reconnected with Chloé Gordon, who designs the Canadian women’s fashion brand Beaufille with her sister, Parris. Cohl and Chloé Gordon hadn’t talked in 15 years since they were in seventh grade together in Toronto. After a Facebook post here, an Instagram there, the three created a one-off collaboration, called Littledoe x Beaufille, launching for summer. Retailing from $115 to $770, the music-inspired line-up includes lace minidresses, printed silk suits, wide brim hats trimmed with chain links and rough-hewn diamond rings that double as guitar slides. The network of fashion friends widened with Cohl’s pal, actress Dakota Johnson, who modeled in their look book.
On Wednesday, fellow actresses Lucy Punch, Jessica Szohr and Jamie Hyder also dropped by the collaboration’s launch party at Bar Marmont in West Hollywood, where the Gordons unveiled their line’s name change to Beaufille from Chloé Comme Parris. As Chloé Gordon put it, “There’s a good creative scene in L.A.”
