FASHION GALLERY: While the long-awaited Fondation Louis Vuitton won’t officially open until Oct. 27, the fashion pack is set to have a preview during Paris Fashion Week. Word has it Nicolas Ghesquière will parade his third collection for Vuitton at the striking new Frank Gehry-designed art museum, set on the leafy fringes of Paris.
A major new cultural and architectural attraction in the French capital, the foundation is to showcase LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton’s corporate collection and display artists’ commissions along with temporary exhibitions and performances. The structure, which resembles a glass cloud drifting over the treetops of the Jardin d’Acclimatation in Paris, covers 126,000 square feet, and contains 11 galleries and terraces affording panoramic views of Paris.
