CHLOE’S CLOTHES: As if four shows per time slot weren’t enough to make everyone in fashion groan, Chloë Sevigny just made the schedule a little bit tighter. A latecomer to the schedule, she will present a collection for Opening Ceremony during fashion week. Sevigny is working with Opening Ceremony owner Humberto Leon and “some friends,” according to an e-mail teaser from her camp. Hoping to keep things on more egalitarian ground, Sevigny has opted to show in the very civilized manner of a presentation, between noon and 6 p.m. on Sept. 10.
VEGAS VIXENS: It can be boring making all those personal appearances to hawk your celebrity fashion line. Just ask Paris Hilton, who made a landing at WWDMAGIC in Las Vegas before jetting off to Mallorca, Spain, with Eva Longoria for a charity event. Teetering on 6-inch heels and visibly yawning, a short-haired Hilton greeted fans and buyers for her Paris Hilton line for Dollhouse. “This is my first clothing line and people are excited, the clothes are phenomenal,” said Hilton, who wore a striped fluorescent pink T-shirt adorned with her image and skinny black jeans from her moderately priced collection. Buyers from stores such as Macy’s were enthusiastic, as were fans, who began lining up early around the booth hours before the starlet’s appearance. But while an overextended Hilton could barely keep her eyes open, later that night Eve and Ciara buzzed with energy at a poolside party for Fetish and Rocawear. Reigning over separate cabanas at Tao Beach nightclub, Ciara, the face of Rocawear’s fall ad campaign, and Eve, who’s relaunching her Fetish label, gushed about fashion. “I said, ‘I have to have it,'” Eve recalled of the snug denim Fetish vest she chose for the bash. Ciara, meanwhile, said she’s picking up pointers from Rocawear for her own future clothing label. “The ultimate goal for the clothing is to be affordable,” said the 21-year-old, squeezed into a striped Rocawear sweater dress with gold accents. As for concerns of spreading herself too thin, Ciara advised, “You get energy from wanting to be successful.”

WHERE THE BOYS MIGHT BE: Tuesday is shaping up to be a busy evening for fashion’s night owls, with parties uptown, downtown and everywhere in between New York. But rather than throw a run-of-the-mill Champagne fete, Roger Vivier is taking the high road by hosting an exclusive preview of Christie’s First Open sale at its Madison Avenue boutique. Works by Jeff Koons, Sol Lewitt, Andy Warhol and Richard Prince will grace the store’s already art-heavy walls. The guest list is still being finalized, but early word says a lot of men have RSVP’d. Wealthy, art-buying men, one presumes. We’re just saying.
FLASH FORWARD: On Tuesday evening, the highly visible Tom Ford will flip the spotlight onto artist Marilyn Minter, feting the publication of her new monograph with a party at his Madison Avenue store in Manhattan. Ford is more than just a casual fan: Minter shot print ads for his men’s wear and eyewear lines in her signature iconoclastic style, which will appear in magazines throughout the fall. Expected to join Ford are André Balazs, Samantha Boardman and fellow artists Will Cotton and Hope Atherton. Also invited are some of Minter’s big-name collectors, including Jerry Seinfeld, Stephanie Seymour and Peter Brant and Evelyn and Leonard Lauder.
Meanwhile, Parkett’s latest issue, out now, features a Minter shoot of Pamela Anderson, a rare detour into the celebrity world for the artist.
BALENCIAGA BAGS LONDON?: Could Nicolas Ghesquière have found a home for his next Balenciaga boutique? According to sources, the Gucci Group-owned fashion house has signed a lease for a store on London’s Mount Street, the genteel Mayfair street where Marc Jacobs opened his first British store in February. Aesop, the Sydney-based natural beauty brand, has also recently secured a store on the street. A Balenciaga store in London would add to stand-alone boutiques in Milan, which Ghesquière unveiled in June, Paris and New York. A spokesman for the brand confirmed that Balenciaga was planning to open a store in London, but declined to reveal its exact location.
