NEW HOME: It was a manic Monday for many Gucci staffers, who started the week heading to a new venue — the house’s spanking new Milanese headquarters inside a 17th-century palazzo on Via Broletto. Renovated along the lines of the new New York and Rome boutiques, the sprawling 93,679-square-foot space groups Gucci’s previously far-flung division under one roof. Spread across seven levels, the new headquarters will be occupied by some 100 employees, including the public relations, advertising, corporate image and merchandising divisions. The building boasts a 13,000-square-foot showroom and Frida Giannini will work in the palazzo with her staff leading up to the show date, though the catwalk appointment will continue to be in the “Diana Space” in Piazza Oberdan.
ON TOUR: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen made their first trip to China last week, stopping in Hong Kong to promote their Elizabeth & James line before heading to Beijing for a trunk show for The Row at Lane Crawford on Saturday. The show was for about 75 of Lane Crawford’s best customers, who ordered many of the line’s key items such as the woven tops and leather pants. “As soon as the girls came in, everyone was getting really into it — they were asking them how they should style their outfits,” said a spokeswoman for the Olsens. “Mary-Kate and Ashley also stayed at the store after the event to restyle the mannequins wearing The Row, and they did a training session with the sales staff at Lane Crawford.”

SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW: Rumors of marriage seem to dog Kate Moss — whomever she might be dating — but none of her rock ‘n’ roll boyfriends has so far managed to get her to the altar. Soon, however, she’ll be able to dress the part to perfection. Moss is set to be featured in British lingerie brand Agent Provocateur’s campaign for its latest bridal range — her second appearance as poster girl for the label. Nick Knight will shoot a series of six images for the campaign, which will “portray Moss as a bride who has a last-minute change of heart.” The first shots will appear on the company’s Web site and will be released to the press in May. A film of Moss shooting the campaign also will premier on Knight’s Web site, Showstudio.com, on May 3. The racy lingerie company has a long history with Moss. It was one of the first brands to employ her following allegations of her cocaine use in 2005, which cost the model a string of advertising contracts. The brand’s grainy Internet films featuring Moss, “The Four Dreams of Miss X,” which were shot by director Mike Figgis in 2006, caused Agent Provocateur’s Web site to crash when the model’s fans flooded to the site.
