BACK IN TOWN: After decamping to the northern English town of Manchester for its 2013 edition, Vogue is bringing Fashion’s Night Out back to London this year.
British Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman said Monday that the magazine will hold the shopping event in London on Sept. 23. Shulman noted that the event’s activity will focus on the shopping thoroughfares of Oxford Street and Regent Street “in recognition of all the new retail activity” on those streets.
Karl Lagerfeld and Tumi recently opened on Regent Street, while Lacoste re-opened its location on the street with a new retail concept earlier this month. Hunter and Ralph Lauren’s Polo label have also secured locations on the street.
The British edition of Fashion’s Night Out was first held in 2009, at the same time as the event was launched in New York. Last year, the event was held in 28 cities globally, including Sydney, Sao Paulo, Hong Kong, Paris, Berlin and Moscow, though it went on hiatus in the United States.
