FEMMY FATALE: Television personality and “Dancing With the Stars” semifinalist Carson Kressley will host the Femmy Awards, the industry’s gala for intimate apparel companies, on Jan. 31. The event will take place at New York’s Cipriani on 42nd Street and will honor businesses that have significantly contributed to the growth of the intimate apparel world.

Sponsored by The Underfashion Club, the event will award prizes to retailer Century 21, manufacturer Fruit of the Loom and global supplier Top Form Brassiere Mfg. Co. Ltd. Penn Asia Co. Ltd. will be honored for innovation and Victor Vega, senior vice president of I.P.S. management, Wacoal America Inc., will be given a lifetime achievement award.

Proceeds from the gala will support The Underfashion Club’s scholarship, awards, internship and grants programs. As part of the club’s mission to foster new talent, the Femmy’s will host the ninth annual Student Design contest, which will showcase the designs of students from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Student work will be displayed during the gala.
